Information in preparation! Preventive
Maintenance (PM) are planned activities of service and maintenance departments aimed at preventing failures and improving the efficiency of the device. A very important goal that is achieved by properly planned preventive activities is also improving the safety of users.
Preventive tasks can be generated based on:
- Schedule
– PM tasks are generated cyclically at a set time interval (week, month, year or multiple weeks, months, years). It is also possible to specify whether a new preventive task will be generated at a set time interval from a set date or from the closing date of the last PM task.
Reading measurements at a specific value– PM tasks are generated based on readings, e.g. the number of cycles performed by the device or the number of hours the device has been operating.
- Reading measurements when the measurement exceeds certain values
– PM tasks are generated e.g. when the measured temperature does not reach the MIN value or exceeds the MAX value.
In order for preventive tasks generated based on readings to be added (generated), they must be updated cyclically.
The methods for updating readings are presented in the article: Cyclic tasks for updating readings.
