Implementation of QRmaint at Swiss securities maker LANDQART AG

We plan to continue developing and using QRmaint to its full potential. Our goal is to further streamline maintenance processes, as well as to incorporate additional functions that will support warehouse management and other areas of the business. We are currently implementing a fault reporting process.

To ensure these high security standards and quality, Landqart uses state-of-the-art production equipment, which, due to its complexity and demanding operation and maintenance, does not tolerate compromises in terms of  CMMS system

The technical department responsible for the maintenance of these devices has been trying for years to find an effective and durable maintenance tool that not only covers all the necessary maintenance activities in the production process and meets high safety standards, but is also easy to learn and use. The previously used maintenance software from one of the market leaders turned out to be cumbersome and complicated to use. Above all, there was a lack of transparency, which was hindered by unnecessarily extensive input fields, and creating orders required a deeper knowledge of the software, which led to many functions not being used. In addition, the introduction of new employees was cumbersome and difficult to do without training, which threatened the effectiveness of maintenance in the long term.

During the meticulous process of selecting the best solution available on the market, QRmaint attracted a lot of interest with its innovative machine maintenance system. QRmaint showed great promise already during the test phase. The clarity and ease of use, the well-designed user interface and the smooth operation of the system functions were particularly appreciated. The first implementation steps, such as creating fault and failure reports and defining maintenance orders , were possible immediately after the initial entry of the device data, which in fact took just a few hours from setting up the company account. Positively conducted tests, low license costs and ease of use, QRmaint quickly rose to the top. The graphical presentation of all tasks on the home page and the efficient search function for tasks by description are particularly praised. QRmaint quickly became a favorite and quickly advanced to the preferred maintenance system throughout the plant.

In the future, Landqart AG plans to further develop the use of QRmaint software. Currently, internal handling of the notification function is being prepared, and then the implementation of warehouse management is planned. Could you briefly describe what Landqart AG does and what your daily duties at work are?

Raphael Gross – Landqart AG is a company specializing in the production of high-quality document security and security materials. Our products cover a wide range of solutions, including document security paper, integrated security systems and printing technologies. We work with customers around the world to offer innovative solutions that ensure the security and authenticity of documents.

My tasks at Landqart AG include managing the technical department and supervising the processes related to maintaining and developing our technological systems. My daily responsibilities include coordinating activities related to maintaining the technical infrastructure.

What was the main factor that made you choose QRmaint software for maintenance management? What is your personal opinion about this software?

Raphael Gross – One of the most valuable features of QRmaint is its transparency and ease of use, which allows for quick and efficient management of maintenance processes. The intuitive presentation of the structure of the plant and equipment locations has significantly improved our maintenance management. Additionally, the ability to add photos and videos to reports and the chat function in the system have significantly improved communication within the team and facilitated problem solving. What do technicians and other users in your company think about QRmaint? Are there any features that they particularly liked or found particularly helpful? Did you notice any challenges or difficulties in implementing QRmaint? If so, how were they resolved?

Raphael Gross — Of course, every implementation brings its own challenges. In our case, the biggest challenge was migrating data from the previous system to QRmaint. Although the process was complicated, thanks to the exceptionally helpful QRmaint employees, it went smoothly and without any major problems. At first, some employees were a bit skeptical about the new solution, but after getting to know the basics of QRmaint, they started using it more and more willingly. It is worth emphasizing that the system is really intuitive, which means that even employees who rarely use computers on a daily basis quickly learned how to use it. Additionally, the technical support of the QRmaint team proved to be extremely helpful, which allowed us to quickly adapt the program to our needs and smoothly introduce it into our daily work.

How do you assess the profitability of investing in QRmaint maintenance management software compared to other solutions available on the market?

Raphael Gross – As far as I can tell, the software is cheaper both to buy and to maintain compared to what we used before.

What are your future plans for using QRmaint software for maintenance management? Are there any areas where you would like to expand its functionality or use additional modules?
